Hi!
I am using a displacement node in mix mat with a c4d noise shader at 4096x4095 level of detail.
The problem is that every time I start the render in live viewer it takes a long time for octane/c4d to generate a image file from that noise shader.
Is there any way to generate the texture as an image and use it like a regular image for displacement so I can avoid that time spent on generating everytime.
Thanks!

yes, put a image over noise shader.

I'm sorry, but I don't understand what you mean.
I want to generate a image file from the noise shader and after that to use a image node with the generated image in the displacement.
Can you give me more details? Thanks

Not possible to get directly anymore. you should render the noise as image and place to a imagetexture.

You can generate an image file from the noise shader(s)Yan wrote:I'm sorry, but I don't understand what you mean.

There is a cool feature that aoktar made.
1.Just open Live Viewer window .
2.Start render.
3.Wait until image shows up.
4.Pause or stop render because we don't need it anymore .
5.Chose in menu - File-> Edit in standalone
6.Plugin will generate all data and Standalone Octane will be launched. Close Standalone.
7.Navigate to folder where your c4d file is saved.
You will see there two new folders such as geometry , textures. And also *.ocs file
8.Jump into textures folder and there will be your displacement files

Something like RGB Image.exr , RGB Image_2.exr and so on.
Hope it helps.
Great. Thank you very much ! This is exactly what I need.

There is also baking tools inside Cinema 4D. Isn't it easier?
