copy (ctrl+c) and paste in place objects from source file causes loss of material definition in target file

Hi macchiorlatti,

Yup, this feature is not supported. It's not possible to copy geometry from one skp scene to another while having Octane materials preserved.
The reason here is that geometry stores only links to Octane materials which are stores in the skp scene itself. So basically geometry is being copied with proper Octane links but when being paste it has no references in the target skp scene.

I've tried as follow and it worked:
1- start one sktechup session with the source file
2- start another sketchup session, open destination file and begin render the scene with octane
3- select and copy (ctr+c) the objects you need from the source file
4- paste the objects in to the destination file (and save), octane renders correctly and there's no loss of material info
5- Don't ask me why but it works (!)
