Hi!

I have two question from output color from different gpu and different system.

First!

I use two titan gpu in my system(Pci Express 3.0, no SLI)

and i have another system with same gpu(Pci express 2.0, no sli).

Two system running good and fast! but output color is little different from each systems.

I was confused. but it arranged from buy a new system(Pci express 3.0).

Finally i think octane outout color will different from between each Pci express speed.

Each system used same LW version, and same Octane renderer and tried reinstall OS, same CMOS setup, install only LW and OCTANE...... and more Tried..

Can you correct color cap from different pci express speed?

Second!

I will consider upgrade Titan to "Titan black" or "Titan Z"

But i worry about different output color from each Titan ,Titan black, Titan Z.

I want test it but that GPU cost much money and i will make dual GPU it cost double!

And i will buy TITAN BLACK first.

Can you test it? Juanjgon?

Always Thanks to your support!

Hi. Are You sure the difference is due to the PCIe express?

most likelly Your screens are not calibrated..

..to test that simply get the same image in two systems & look it side by side.

I'm with glimpse on that. I could agree with procedural textures being different from computer to computer/CPU, but color? Sounds weird to me.
Check the rendered images on the same monitor. Do not compare rendered images from the two computers, on two different computers unless they are both properly calibrated.

Even then, you may see some difference, because of the way our eyes respond to light sources. It's a common thing to go to tech fairs and see monitors side by side and compare them, seeing the billion dollar monitor look worse than the cheaper one for instance - yet they are both 100% perfect calibrated - but your eyes are tricked simply by science..

If all else fails, upload the two stills and let us see what's going on.

It is impossible that the output color can be affected by the PCIe bus speed. I have rendered animations with a mix of GPUs/PCIe systems without any problem. The render information can't be affected by the buses speed.

Can you please render the same image saving it in .exr file format and compare them again, of course in the same system/monitor? If you don't get the same image, at some point there is any kind of color or gamma correction, but I am sure this is not a hardware problem.

Also if you don't get the same colors, can you please try to save the .exr file using the plugin render passes system? Simply save the beauty pass in .exr format to compare the images.
