That aspect is a little concerning. I cant do any major scene work till my NAS is sorted and get access to my content and scenes.
Hi,

To be clear... I do not know... I am just wondering and questioning about the x16/x8.
I just think and hope all 5 slots are equally in performance!?
The answers to these questions are out there... On this forum or outside the forum.

Your priority is to get both TitanZ's working despite other specs, right!
Have you put them on the lower slots and still no 4gpu?

That's the scary part, I don't think they are. You can see on the Motherboard and the PCI-E clearly defined missing "copper" that
could be easily definable as x 8 or x 16

I am about to do some searching on the topic but ready for my next test now. 1 x Titan Z in PCI-E 3 ( x 16 )

Sigh - it's the only expression I have for what is going on right now.

Same results.

I would have though that maybe spread over the 8 channels will only read as 2 x GPU's but if yours is on PCI-E 5 and your getting the similar results...
I just don't know what to make of this :(

If you have 2 Titan Z in your system you should have 4 Titan GPUs. In which PCI-E slot (8x or 16x) they are shouldn't matter, since we minimized the amount of data that needs to be transferred via the PCI-E bus.

In your last screenshot only 2 GPUs are running. In the Octane preferences make sure that 4 GPUs are enabled. If you see only 2, then something is dodgy with the system. What I usually always do, after installing a new GPU is reinstalling the graphics driver. Version 344.48 should work fine. After rebooting the system, check the NVIDIA control panel and make sure that you can actually see all 4 Titan GPUs there. Then open Octane and check the CUDA device selection. Let us know if there are still only 2 GPUs, but in the NVIDIA control panel are 4.

Thanks for the feedback Abstrax :)

In that last screenshot there was only 1 Titan Z installed, I am removing that one now and replacing it with the other to make sure
there are no issues with the cards themselves.

Once done I will put both back in and check the settings again, was just chatting to my mate discussing if the Revodrive maybe causing some issues too..
hopefully not, just need to go through the process of elimination.

Still bugged that the GPU doesn't fit in that top PCI-e Port though ;)
