Hello there.
Guys i had this problem today, i'm used to render on the network using MODO plugin.
Today i tried to do the same thing from cinema 4D, it says that either "invalid version" or "unavaliable".
All machines are running the same standalone version and plugins as well.
Then i tried modo on the same setup and network rendering is displaying everything fine "avaliable"
Am i doing something wrong?
Thank you very much for your attention.
Cheers
Raf

Hi,
i have no idea about problem. Because plugins only open a control window for network settings. All operations is done internally by octane core. Can you check octane log for some outputs? Maybe some info for network. That's all to do due weekend. We can check that on monday.

Make sure that the masters (standalone and plugins) and the slaves all have exactly the same version. I think that's what is going wrong here. It looks to me that your MODO plugin has the correct version but your Cinema plugin doesn't.Rafael-Vallaperde wrote:I'll have a look.

Your network configuration looks good to me because otherwise you wouldn't be able to see the slaves. Also make sure you look at the logs of the network slave daemon.
cheers,

This must be a bug guys, how come modo can use the slaves just fine and cinema plugin can't?
I noticed lots of people complaining about the same issue, could this be a version issue?

What is the Octane version number of the slave, the Mode plugin and the C4D plugin? You can see those in the logs.
