Hi I am selling my Octane+Blender license for 375€ ($467), Paypal. I am planning to switch to Octane+Lightwave instead since Lightwave 11.6 is what I use for work now. Send me a msg or post here if interested.
Hi, Haikalle,
FYI it is against the terms and conditions of trade to sell your licenses to a third party:
"You are not authorised to transmit the Software to any third party whatsoever and shall make all reasonable endeavours to ensure that the Software is not made available to any other third party."
(These are the terms that are on the shop page that you have to click "Yes, I accept the terms and conditions" too)

Hi Fooze,
I apologize, my license in no longer for sale in that case.

Your standalone license is still valid to be used with LightWave, so you only need to buy the LightWave plugin license (159.00 €) to be able to use Octane with both your old plugin and the LW one.haikalle wrote:Hi I am selling my Octane+Blender license for 375€ ($467), Paypal. If you are European, you are free to resell your license as you see fit. The European Court of Justice ruled in 2012 that you can resell downloaded software just like you would a physical copy.

However, they are of course entitled to stop you from doing it on their site

Personally I think that software companies, can only profit by allowing their users to sell their licenses. Rather than having a license that isn't going to be upgraded, it's better to allow another user to buy it and pay upgrades for it.
Usually, those who are looking for 2nd hand and cheaper licenses, are the ones that don't have the money to buy a new license. OTOY could only profit by changing their license policy in that regard. It would only increase their user base.

Well I went ahead and bought the Lightwave plugin today
I guess it's a good idea to keep the Blender plugin too because you never know what could happen on that side.

So if Otoy demands no resale and EU says it's legal to resell, then does that mean that Otoy is doing something illegal with their policy as far as the EU is concerned?
