How exactly do I connect an Object Layer Node with the rest of a scene node system?

Specfic example:

Object "02 Outside" is an image plane in front of a window that depicts a scenery.
The image plane is also blocking daylight from entering the room.

My basic idea was to add an object layer node to the object "02 Outside" and select to hide the shadows.

Nevertheless now I cannot figure out how to connect the pins.

Are there other nodes I need to add to act as link between the Object Layer node and the geometry I want to modify?

How do I integrate the Object Layer into this chain to make the object "outside" not cast any shadows but being visible outside the window?

In this example the chain "stl outside pos - stl outside and 02 outside are disconnected". Now the scenery outside the window is gone.

Hi there,

Yes, you need to connect your geometry to an object layer map node first. Like this:

Thank you a lot Thomas for the quick help.

Indeed the object layer map was the missing link.

Now I was able to set it up.

Object Layer map and Object Layer node are now linked.

Note: The next step would now be to set up the lighting properly for the whole scene and the background plane.
