That's just amazingaoktar wrote:Hi,
some info about a important change. I'm revising the gui system, so Live viewer can works without a Octane dialog. Moving all render icons to a menu. But this icon had a advantage which can show states of renderer. Nothing is fixed yet, i'm checking the possibilities.

Hi again,
i need a volunteer to test new gui. As you can see that octane and live windows can have menu and icons. Also some icons and commands can be allocated on anywhere. Even it will be possible to use Live Viewer without Octane dialog.
But there is a side effect. Which is that gpus cannot go to real idle mode without closing Live Viewer. That's the biggest reason to keep Octane Dialog.

It's very complex to do. I prefer to keep it in setting dialog as well as.indexofrefraction wrote:cant you add an enable/disable gpu toggle icon?aoktar wrote: But there is a side effect. This might not be the right place to say this but Aoktar, I am so excited about the improvements it seems like you make regularly. I just got Octane C4D plugin yesterday or I would feel better about contributing to the icon design. For now, I just want to say that the most recent update cleared up the issues I was having after installation and that the dedication to improvement is impressive, makes me glad to be a member.

This new Live Viewer Gui is just amazing . Remove that Octane Dialog window completely if you can . Just don't get it, about what IDLE stuff everyone are begging. For me all idle stuff works without issues. Start render -> TDP grows . Pause render or stop -> TDP drops.aoktar wrote:Hi again,

Maybe I'm missing something?
I'm glad to hear that you like it. Currently it's more customisable. You can use Octane dialog or LV with icons and menus. I'm not sure to remove fully that. Because need more time to be sure we don't need anymore. We'll see after released.uncia wrote:This new Live Viewer Gui is just amazing . Remove that Octane Dialog window completely if you can . On LV, "Reset button" resets all data and drops TDP to idle. But stop does not do it. Second alternative, disabling all GPUS.

Ok. I've got it. You mean deep IDLE stuff. For me that doesn't matter.10-20 W per hour difference.
That's how my system works and i'm pretty happy with that.
No lag and everything smooth and responsive.
If you can't live with out those deep IDLE stuff , just hit "Reset button" like Aoktar said. That's all
