You can go in the preferences and enable "Use native file dialogs". This setting was added mainly for Linux systems, where there is no reliable way to use the native dialogs.

This is an amazing release, guys. Nice work! The speed's blistering.

However, I can't use it for production at the moment because I'm having the LUA crash issue too. I've set the scripts directory (does it have to be a specific directory?) but Octane still crashes as soon as I select any of the default scripts (I've tested daylight and render imported animation), whether I have a render target selected or not.

Oddly I can still run custom scripts fine.

Any resolutions in the pipeline for this one, or am I being dumb in some way?

So does it make sense for the grey part of the displacement image to represent zero displacement, the black areas to represent negative displacement and the white parts positive, without having to tweak the offset?
