Hi everyone,
I apologize if this topic has already been covered but I am in need of advice.
I am currently finalizing a personal project, or at least trying to.
There is however a pretty substantial obstacle in the way. The scene I am trying to render is way over the memory budget that my GPU allows (one GTX 670 with 4gigs) and I am currently unable to render the full project in one pass which drastically affects the end result.
So here I am, looking for options to possible find a cloud based rendering option that is affordable and of course supports octane (standalone?).
I have found several leads but everything is leaving me more confused.
Any pointers or help would be greatly appreciated!
Cloud rendering for the poor.

I still don't know how it works but is may help

Problem with Renegatt's solution, is that updated OTOY's EULA doesn't allow to use OctaneRender with vGPU =)
anyway, they are leveraging Amazons infrastructure & those GPUs are 4GB as far as I remember.. though they have other plan, bit more expensive that might have bigger GPUs.. There's a possibility to use SPOT instances to cut price.. but the setup itself is far from being easy to setup.

Thanks Smicha!
Yes, I have seen those services before. I just went to have another look and... eek. I wanted to tear my hair just looking at how to make this work.
So, Glimpse, what you are saying is that the memory budget isn't shared across multiple GPUs?
jop, if You have two cards let's say 4GB +4GB You still only have only 4GB to be able to use..& it's even worth if You have 6GB + 2GB card - then if You're using both of them, it's only 2GB that will be available in Octane, as scene should fit into every card & You're limited to the one that has least amount of vRam.ElBloko wrote: So, Glimpse, what you are saying is that the memory budget isn't shared across multiple GPUs?
elbloko,
How much vram do you need? 6GB? And what about power? 4 x titan would be enough?

Smicha offered help in redering out the scene, instead of buying them, Riggles =)riggles wrote:4 x Titan != poorsmicha wrote:How much vram do you need? 6GB? And what about power? 4 x titan would be enough?

I could help rendering it beside my projects. Not that booked at the moment. Just give me some bucks for electricity and a dinner with my girlfriend.
