Hi there,

Recently upgraded Poser (Pro 2014), not Game Dev, and Octane. I have a model that I went back to do a re-render of, and suddenly polygons are appearing all over her skin. I tried re-loading the textures, re-installing Octane, but it persists. It is only on this model (I have several others that work fine.)

Does anyone know what's going on with this glitch? (I know they look like freckles, but I assure you the skin is clear).

Thanks

You can change the Octane kernel to Infochannel - and that will give you a lot more info on the integrity of the model's geometry (normals, UV's, etc) - so try that. Also, make sure the Figure Skinning method is set to Unimesh.

Hey Paul,

Thanks for the response. I think I'm zeroing in on it, hope you can help. It appears to be a depth issue. If I zoom in, same camera, everything renders correctly. If I zoom out, polygons appear, regardless of the resolution.

Any idea?

I have never seen this before. Have you tried adjusting the kernel->ray epsilon (it should be about 0.00001 or lower). Can you export the scene to ORBX and send it to me pls? Then I can take a closer look.
