The octane light visible option like an vray invisible option but if you uncheck the visible option the light doesn't effect any surface mesh such as but vray effects light color Can you fix this on the next realese ?

Thank you.

Hi, Can you please post some screenshots?
I can't reproduce what i think your problem is here.

The visible tickbox in the OctaneLight parameters will make the emitter invisible to the camera, but the light will still shine from it.

Yes but the if you uncheck the visible option, you loose the speck and the reflection from the light, you only get the diffuse.

That is how octane works. If you hide the geometry, all indirect light income will be gone, only direct income will remain.

Yes I understand but sometimes I want to light a object with a rimlight, ie a light from behind, And it would be very useful to be able to set that light to invisble so I get Diffuse, speck and reflection but the light doesnt show up in the alpha or the final image.

Did you try this..
Leave visible option on in lights modifier panel.
But turn off visible to Camera checkbox in octane light's object properties.

You can see the reflection of the light but not visible to camera.
it works for me...

Those options are greyed out to me as well since last release(s).
I used to use the Visibility parameter sometimes, too.

update:
My mistake, the Visibility parameter is avaiable if you use a Plane with an emitter material.
