Edited to add the PMC error:

I see slower speeds in PMC, but its hard to tell because Ms/s isnt everything. It might actually clean up faster now even with a slower speed.zivko wrote:I've upgraded to octane 2.x today and i'm very happy with new features so lemme thank to octane devs for doing an amazing job first
I recently bought gtx970 and have gtx460 from before so ran benchmark on 1.55 and after upgrading i ran the test on 2.11.1 too. 460gtx tests showed octane 2.x renders faster then 1.5x on 460 in direct lightning and path tracing mode (alpha shadows off, coherent on). Results i get are ~20% faster in path tracing. I expected PMC rendering speed to remain at least the same as in 1.55 based on DL and PT results, but i was surprised when i noticed 1.55 rendering benchmark scene a lot faster in PMC then 2.11.1 does. I've installed octane 2.06 and run the test again.
My gtx 460 renders 1.4 Ms/sec in PMC on octane 1.55 and octane 2.06, but it renders only 0.5 Ms/sec in octane 2.11.1. I can't try PMC on 2.x cause i get same 'failed' error as grimm did.
Has anyone else noticed slower PMC rendering speed in 2.11.1?
Also, since i was running test today, i noticed gtx970 renders fine in PMC in octane 1.55, but it fails to render in PMC in 2.x octane. Since people running 9xx cards already reported PMC issue with 9xx cards, i'd like to point out to octane team that cards render fine in 1.55 hoping that info speeds up finding the solution.
We tried to reproduce the issue, but couldn't. So can you please send us a scene that causes these issues? Then we can investigate it further.jan kudelasek wrote:Hi,
I have problem with netrendering. I have same Error log like coilbook with every scene. Same with coherent disabled. No displacement.

Could you please try to reproduce this issue?
Thank you

Hi Janjan kudelasek wrote:This weekend I had the time to devote to the problem. I tried 2.06 and I had the same problem. I discovered that the problem was in lan jack. This caused that the connection was not stable. So sorry for the panic.

You said you lost samples because you had bad lan connection like a cat wire or actual network adapter jack? Does it mean i need a new adapter
Thank you
