I believe there is a vram leak with RC2. The longer I work more vram becomes unavailable despite my scene only being 27mb per the octane stats. I noticed this when it said my titan only had 1.6gb available, I closed Cinema 4D and immediately all vram became available.
I will test this more later this evening but it seems as though it is not flushing the scene data for each frame of animation as I scrub through the timeline.

hi
i have an issue with the new version. i get occasional complete crashes on my macpro. it never happens during rendering. later when i switch to a different job, suddenly i get a black screen and the mac starts rebooting. i think its clearly related to working with octane.
the other thing is still the vram usage. although i found the workaround with the tiled camera i am still puzzled by the fact that i cant even render a cube in high resolution (>4500 pixel) with 1.2 gb vram.
cheers

LV restarts the rendering when i move the mouse on Viewport of C4d. A bug or usual behavior for new versions?

1.2gb vram? Is it free or total? what do you see on LV while working?volkmar wrote:hi

Honestly, restarting can occurs due c4d's messaging system and plugin controls. I have notified RC2 was compiled with a parameter which is disabled mistakely. So RC1 is still better on updating. I'll fix it.sadece wrote:LV restarts the rendering when i move the mouse on Viewport of C4d. A bug or usual behavior for new versions?
