Clicking on the assign texture buttons (the checkerboards) no longer work.

Is there somewhere else I should be posting these bugs?
Honestly, you are not "posting the bugs".;) As "posting the bugs" involves at least a detailed description of what happens exactly step by step (with messages log content or even screenshots), and description of "how to reproduce"... Not just short "something does not work".
As after checking and seeing that all works OK for me, I have nothing to do anymore with such a reports, and just forget about them before somebody reports something meaningful...

To all: TBFX is the best reporter of all the times of existing of Maya plugin. So, if you are going to report the bugs here - just emulate him.;)

Okay, got it. I'll post videos of the "unexpected features" (not bugs) so you can see them in action.

The content of the script console is important too...

Should I turn on "echo all commands" for the script editor when I share?

Hi Jimstar

i checked the renderlog as you suggested and got this message:

Starting "C:\Program Files\Autodesk\Maya2013\bin\mayabatch.exe"
Qt: Untested Windows version 6.2 detected!
Loading GoZ support...File read in 0 seconds.
Result: G:/3d/Maya/untitled__4188.mb
Error: Internal motion blur animation with "Symmetric" direction and 0.07 shutter requires 1 extra frame(s) before the animation's start frame.
Error: Internal motion blur animation with "Symmetric" direction and 0.07 shutter requires 1 extra frame(s) after the animation's end frame.
Scene G:/3d/Maya/untitled__4188.mb completed.

the same error happens with the subframe motionblur:

Error: Subframe motion blur animation requires extra frame after the animation's end frame.
Scene G:/3d/Maya/untitled__4188.mb completed.

as the log says, it needs one more frame after animation ends. it´s a little cryptic about whether how to add the extra frames. I tried adding more frames in the timeline. that didn´t help, tried adding a few frames in the render output. that didn´t help either, keeps getting the same error above.
And thanks again for the quick fixes, really appreciate it Jimstar;)

Hi Andrew88,

I believe this error has been put in place so that people don't get bad blur on their first or last frame because their animation stops or hasn't started moving. I would prefer it was a warning and the shot would render anyway. You have 2 options to get your shot to render. Either:

A - Extend your animation (not the time line or frame range but your actual keyframed motion at least 1 frame before and after the frames you actually need rendered. This is in truth the only real solution.

But:

B - If you already have handles on your shot you can just not render the first and last frame and then the render should go through.

As I said I personally think having the hard error is going to generate far more posts to the forum than just having a warning that Blur will be incorrect on first/last frames and letting the frames render. It's what all other renderers I've used do (in fact they don't even give warnings) and animators should know that they need animation before and after their shot to get correct motion blur anyway.

are these updates considered beta or are they bug fee enough to be considered production ready? I feel like there was a post addressing this but I couldn't find it anywhere. I just want to check before I update my plugin.

I think a found a bug with these release, I have 4 x 780ti and in IPR octane just use 3 for render, even when they are all activated in the options, for octane to use the 4 I have to uncheck the box of one, then refresh the IPR and last check the box again. I think this only happens in IPR, I am not sure about batch render.
