I asked a previous question and was answered excellently about setting objects that were instances to scatter, but i cant seem to find the answer to this one. The problem occurs in a scene that has a fair amount of detail in it. It is a really simple scene with 4 tires that i sketched up with the treds and all. When i load the rendered view in blender it takes 11 seconds of "refreshing" before it starts to render.
I have two 780s
Quick question about setting up a scene properly
How many polygons/triangles are there in the scene?
The more complex the scene the longer it takes to upload the data to the server, compile the scene and start rendering.
If you getting up to about 5million triangles this is probably the expected time.

1,110,523 faces
2,218,645 tris
176 mb of mem
Watch your task manager when you hit render.
If you see OctaneServer working away when you hit render then this is normal and it' just the time it takes to transfer the scene, compile and start rendering.
The exact time will depend on your general machine speed (CPU, memory).
