is it possible to postyour scene? I think it's not a gamma things. Looks like have different lighting, second should be correct.

this is easier to do on cpu renderers. I'll look this and more features on next versions. But cannot give promise yet

Hi Ahmed,

Running on Mac OX 10.8.5 with CUDA 6.5.18 with C4D R16, since 2.10.0 Test 1 version (and including the last 2.1 RC1) I have a weird issue, when I'm in infochannels mode and switch between modes like shading normals to material ID and so on, I have to manually refresh the live viewer to see the result… It was automatically refreshed until 2.06.1 version.

Also I noticed in the 2.1 RC1 the "edit in standalone" function is not yet fixed, it gives an error that Octane.exe can't be found…No .exe on Mac ;o)

Anyway, as always, terrific job you did ;o)

yes i see this. Also macosx and exe problem is still here. Sorry for that. We did lot of changes and i have succes to forget the fixing this. Best thing is that this a RC version. I'll try to fix all for next release soon.

Hi Ahmed,

I think I found the problem with the gamma-shadow issue.
There was another sky object hiding under a null that I forgot about.
I had the same hdri file attached (was used for a Physical Render test). Thought I had it turned off.
As soon as I deleted that sky, no more shading problems.

So I guess this goes under "User Error" :oops:

i really loved that's not my error ;)

Another things is that, i have prepared all revisions in a short time. We cannot much tested the some parts. I really need to hear feedbacks from your guys. I hope that Render Passes are easy to use and clear for all. I'll try to prepare some documentation for new features. But i'm waiting to finalize all current changes. So anyone can ask for help, i have some free time to answer for all.

Seperately i want to expose some next improvements on plugin side. These are still intention and not exact. I'll spend some time to investigate.

- New embedded help system for tags, parameters,etc... Maybe a popup helper.
- Vertex mapping
- Support for mograph shaders
- A good support for XP
- Polishing the gui, icons
- A stabile Node Editor
- Custom image sizes for each C4D shader convertion
- Extending the support for C4D materials and others, better material convertions
- LocalDB acces sharing between plugin and SA
- Material usage optimisation for unused materials

Think i found a small bug;
In LiveViewer when right-clicking the "show in picture viewer" command does'nt work.
The Picture viewer shows a checkerboard-image.
But you'll notice that the Beauty- and Info-passes show up in the layer tab.
This is tested on 2 machines.

That said,
Nice version !
Switching off the "static noise" was very needed for animation.
Info-passes are a blessing and seem to work great.
This plug-in is getting real mature ! great work.

i have checked on two scenes now. That was wrong on first scene but second scene looks ok. I have to check better this issues later.

User configureable path for material lib would be great! That way multiple artists could share a central library on a network share.
