Hi team,

I am trying to render this scene in Maya that basically have a sequence group of OBJ that I imported from Houdini. The grouping will have ON and OFF (visibility), depending on the frame number.

I tried to use Maya2Octane plugin, but soon I found that the exporter actually export all OBJs in the scene (including hidden one). This was not obvious for me at first.

Do you have any suggestion to work around this?

I heard someone mentioned about batch *.bat to render out. But still, I think that's not the best solution.

Maybe for the next plugin upgrade, it's better to render only visible mesh/poly on scene (ignore hidden object) and export that to Octane? What do you think?

Cheers,
- Jimmy

A workaround could be keyframing objects 'scale' instead of 'visibility' ... is always the best choice.

That should work fine.

good luck
