This is the second time that I use Octane for render a scene, and the second time that I´m disapointed...

This is a render for what exactly? I can't finish a client s scene beucase Octane randomly brake my materials, really, from nothing and I have several images to show this happening.

Image 1, I was with the materials set and I could see them all in material shading but when I pressed rendered...

Image 2, I done nothing, just got back to wireframe shading and got back to rendered shading:

Image 3,Here you can see the material shading showing all the materials working, but take a look at the material preview at the corner on the right.

Image 4, here I deleted a lot of extra geometry on the scene, but didnt deleted a single material, just for testing the GPU memor, but still have 2.500.000 polygons

Image 5, here I deleted lots of objects and materials on the scene, but the result was the same, even with less than a milion of polygons.

So, what the hell is this program, and above everything, what I will tell to my client now?

You can tell them you have made a mistake :
Never use in production a software you dont know.
Its perhaps a bug, or perhaps something you made wrong.

No its a client, not a friend, and I allready posted a thread about this issue before and I didn't had answers to it, so I can't ever say to a client, I m working about a month in your project, now I can't finish it, please, understand that, and above everything pay me for my work.

I want a solution for this from the developers, for the owners, I don´t care from whom, I just need to finish this project for monday or I'm simply screwed, but I will do my best to sue somebody on the way if I simply don´t find a way.

Ahh, and by the way, I bought the upgrade for octane when they where saying that I would also have the plugin update, but I cant use the 2.0x version of the server because I receive a message telling me that my account is not valid for that version... So what is this service huh...

Sueing someone else for your problem and mistake is not only ignorant but not gonna happen.

If you're a novice taking professional work and not able to deliever that is not the softwares fault it is you're fault for choosing to the do the job on new software that you have no production workflow established for yet.

Simply put you screwed up. What was the work you did in you're portfolio rendered in? What did you show the client to get the gig in the first place?

My mistake for what? Use the program? I own this software since last year or so, I had done other projects on it and allready posted problems related to this software, other than that I work with renderizations for years, and I'm wrong in your world??? Where?

I'm using the 1.55 - 52 version of the plugin, and the same for the server since I can´t use the newer plugin, and I don´t have a clue about why I just can´t use it.

If you knew it was unstable and had the possibly of you missing a deadline for a client .... well thats your fault for using it knowing that those issues existed.

Im not saying you shouldn't request a refund, but you shouldn't have done the work in octane if you knew these problems existed. So thats why I am saying you're wrong, and thats how the client will also see it. "wait so you couldn't finish because the software didn't work? Then why are you using it?" That's on you for making the initial choice to use it.

And also isn't it kinda last minute asking for support when your deadline is on Monday? You have had a month to work on this, yet last minute you decide to complain about updates that were released weeks ago. This looks like bad project management and hindsight and now you are down to the wire and stuff you probably should have locked down early on in your project you didn't.

Bellowing on here last minute probably wont get you anywhere. And it is now the weekend and your window for official support via support lines is now gone till monday (your deadline).

Man I dont care about who you are, above of everything, I don't care, Please if you are not helping just go sleep or on other thread, because you are defending totally ignorantly, I guess you don´t know about law, try to read it, even living in a different contry I have the right to receive for what I pay for, but the problem here is that I'm not receiving that, other than that, I really don't understand why I'm talking with you but... I just have a solution for a problem that is not mine but of a software that is sold but doensn't work as expected, you probably don't see the obvious, but I will not be the guy that will be showing that for you.

So, please leave, you are not helping neither me or the octane team.

And stop editing content and type things over and over, that is ridiculous ok, everytime that I try to reply you, I have to read the whole thing again because you retyped it all.

Somebody from the octane team at least appeared, and I hope that he helps me.

Your mistake for starting the project in beta software (moreover, which you do not know well) for the production.
I already see at least one mistake: you can't use the material preview and the live-render at the same time. The render server can only handle one render at a time, I wrote about it here.

If you are getting some issues in plugin software - to get them sorted out you should report it in the current version's thread in the Blender plugin's forum section. This is the only way I will ever see such reports. The whole forum is too big to scan it for just one plugin reports.
But even beta versions worked well when used by those who know how to work with it. E.g. this model has about 6'500'000 tris, and absolutely no problems during work with it: http://render.otoy.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=5&t=42790

If you give me the scene - I can check at Monday what is wrong there.

The way how to free update your plugin license to last 2.X versions - was describen here on the forum. If you had troubles with updating your license - you could just email to Otoy support about them, as lot of others did...
