We can't reproduce the issues here even with the scene from Shakalakapaka. Does it happen with every scene? What are the settings in the animation dialogs? What are the exact steps you are doing to make Octane crash?

I was playing around with the Z-depth render pass and wanted to save it in a separate file from the beauty pass. So I unchecked the beauty pass and saved the file, no problem. Then I clicked on the save render button to save the rendered image and I got the Z-depth image instead. Are the two buttons connected now? I was expecting them to be different or is it a bug? Thanks,

Jason

Looks like a bug, we'll fix this in the next release.

edit: actually this isn't a bug we save out what you see in the viewport (or you weren’t displaying the Z-depth pass in the viewport?)

Thanks a lot for adding "Highlight Compression" tonemapping! This is really awesome but there is a problem.
When saving "OpenEXR Untonemapped", the EXR is being affected by "Highlight Compression". I have to remember to set it to 0 before saving my untonemapped EXRs. The whole point of untonmapped EXRs is so we can do the processing (and tonemapping) in post.

Also, is there a way to set the EXR compression options for single EXRs? (it looks like only the render passes saver has these options)

I'm getting some corruption when saving out EXRs. The last couple of lines at the bottom of the saved image are missing. The image resolution in my test is 417x278

1. File > new
2. Add Rendertarget
3. Set resolution to 417x278
4. Start render
5. Save "untonemapped EXR"

RESULT: A large part of last 2 lines of the image are missing. If you load the EXR is photoshop, the last 2 lines are transparent

+1 for this.
Happens with me, in both 2.10 and 2.11.

Thanks for the update. More toys to test. Have to look into some of the Lua complaints wonder if anything major changed.

Thanks Thomas,

I was not displaying the Z-depth pass at the time when I tried to save the image. But I will test some more.
