=DDD ..Now You're talkin' Ma Man =)

Think, it was few years ago (when it still was very profitable to mine), I came to find few pics.
Back then I new nothing about mining, or crypto currencies..but those rigs..were simply out of this planet =)

for sure it's a great inspiration for GPU raytracing crowd (including Octane'rs)
to find some great info on how to build rigs for render =)

Some of those thread are simply jaw-dropping..

P.S. we should be happy that miners don't use CUDA cards =p as when they came to buy certain Radeons, there were shortage in supply & that raised the price in the market.. =)

Yeah I've seen those videos before, but what I don't understand is how this Bitcoin can be consider a safe money alternative? I mean, they are a digital currency, which means some programmer have coded them, right? So... Doesn't that mean that this programmer, or some other hacker, can "create" as many Bitcoins as they want? It sounds like a big scam to me... :?

well, the code is open, but the data isn't available..I mean it's available only in a form after = sign..So You can verify if the math is righ, but don't see any inputs..(hard to explain, but You can read something out if You are intereted & have time).

a lot was thinking it's some sort of a scam..but it proved to be stable enough ( value fell to 333$/btc, last year was into record highs more than 1000$/btc) Growth of it inspired other crypto currencies to emerge, even banks & countries see to adopt this idea.

it has some scams, but they are related to exchange markets, not to the code itself..- curious how this is going to unfold in the end, but it seems it's a bit of changer in the field =)
