I often open a new project to build something then transfer that into the main comp
it seems that if i apply mix materials and then try and copy it to the other main comp it loses material 1 and material 2 and becomes a white texture and i have to re-apply the materials from scratch
mix materials lose link to sub-materials

i also trying to clear up my materials window did "function remove all my unused materials and it wiped out all my mix material sub- materials " WTF it just destroyed all my mix materials
there really needs to be a compilation of all these unique little things that you have to search the forums for
that just cost me hours to go back and get older materials now and try and re-apply from an earlier file

The "Octane Dialog" has it's own "Remove Unused Materials",
that one works perfectly.
The copy'ing between documents is a hassle but
I think it's just because C4D doesn't use Mixel Materials.
Before i copy an object to another project, i add a null to that object,
and apply all textures to the null.
That way all linked-textures are always connected to the object.
