I am new to Octane, using the modo plugin. But I am having the hardest time trying to get rid of noise... It is a news set, so it is in a black box basically, with all direct lights. Is this even possible?

I have about 20 spot lights and a few accent lights to give color.

Any advice on lighting with octane, that would be great. Preferably using the Modo plugin...

EDIT: I don't know if it makes a difference but for the spot lights I created a hollowed out cylinder. That is how I use to do it for Maxwell..

Hollowed cylinder will be noisy. Instead, use a flat single polygon plane, and setup an IES light on it.

Gotcha, Does anyone have an ies file for a typical 2k spotlight?

The manual has a link to a website containing many IES files. http://render.otoy.com/manuals/Modo/?page_id=79
