I guess like I wrote in my other thread: light meter. Lumens/cd etc. would be useful.

Emission objects with a Watts/m2 option so that objects of different sizes can have the same luminosity.

Thanks

I would like to renew my request to have an option to switch of the automatic compiling in the standalone. I change the position of a really heavy part in my scene and after every input x, y, z the thing starts to compile instead of waiting until i have input all parameters. Talking about scenes that max out your system, not demo scenes or whatever. Every partial input...the thing starts compiling, everytime it takes a few minutes. Have never seen anything as dumb as that really. The automatic compiling really sucks. Like i change the size of some really lightweight element in my maxed out scene...boom...compile..
cpu clogged up...then i change position x...boom compile...then y...boom compile...everytime my rig clogs up. Whose idea was that? It is like the devs never worked in anything else than the 5 screws in the demo scene.

Great, just unplugged a node...auto compiling goes off...rien ne va plus.
Watching the the conpliling bar. I think I will just post everytime it happens :)
Is anyone here actually ever maxing the system or is it just always like "yeah, you know GTX 980 slower than 780, Yeah you know 50 Titans in my rig...nuclear water cooler" and then just some interior or car render that only touches the Ram ever so softly.

2% of the entire Vram. That's how big the scene element was of which i just changed the scale....compiling scene... for 2mins. Nice bar though with the grayish stripes :) kind of like it.
Should not it be "compiling scene' instead of 'Compiling scene'... i mean both lower case, right?

We need more GPUs in network rendering.

Is there a reason it is capped at 12?
