Most Air-cooled cards are dual slot, but with a watercooling they are 1 slot!
well, not exactly, You still need to do some hardware modding in order to get rid of brackets & operating out some connectors, that for some is scary to think of =DDD

I know, it´s damned scary. And a lot of work, too.
But once it´s done, you will never switch back to aircooling!
i guess for 6 GPU´s you should count $ 1000 - $ 1200

Yes. Listen to Glimpse.

If you are ready to go with 8x780 ti (=12x780ti on air) water-cooled, overclocked safely, inaudible (about 15dB), in one chassis there is one solution...

You can but you'll never want to :)

You are damned right! the gtx 780 Ti has the DVI connectors on top of each other. :-(
On my Cards the sit side by side...which makes them single slot with watercooling :-)

if You really looking to build 6+ GPU rig or even multiple of them,
miners are the way to look for inspiration:
ip.bitcointalk.org.jpg
or even bigger beast (concept by some Guy)

otherwise, modding & water-cooling is unavoidable,
but as Smicha noted - You can get more perfoance,
as water-cooling gives You some advantage.

And you can still water-cool it for less noise...:-)

I've seen Guys modding Titans to SingleSlot, but You need to have balls for that.
Actually always wanted to build a monster on something like ASUS P6T7 or new ASUS X99-E WS
Stuffed with those modified into SingleSlot (Tatans/780s) - under water that beast should be insanely powerful..

..though I don't need that much of power for now nor have spare to build for fun =)
but would be more than happy to help someOne if needed =)

p.s. here's how SS modes Titan looks like:

All right:

http://www.caselabs-store.com/magnum-tx10-d/

2x GIGABYTE - 500$
http://www.gigabyte.com/products/produc ... id=5123#ov
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.a ... -_-Product

(asus rampage IV is too expensive - I already built one with 4xtitans on this mobo, and currently I have asus ws, but believe me - gigabyte gives more stable voltage and if I were to get new one I'd go with gigabyte)

8x EK waterblocks - 800eur
4x D5 pump - 240 eur
2x dual top - 120 eur
3x 560 rad - 300 eur
2x 1500W power supply ...
fittings
tubing
fans

So if I went with the ASUS X99-E WS
6 x 780ti and water cooled them into a single slot configuration what case would you use?

And would a single 1600w PSU handle all that?

I should also note that this build if possible needs to come in below $7000 USD

Also your guys passion for building insane machine is awesome!
