How to make this material in octane??

Hi guys (and girls),

I'm trying to figure out how to make this material: http://www.marvelousdesigner.com/commun ... piece/1732
It's driving me nuts! I've been trying to make it for days already. When i used a specular or glossy material it would reflect EVERYTHING around it and be toooo shiny and no matter what settings and numbers I do it still doesnt come out anything close to what I want it to be.


Any help appreciated.

have you tried to drive the opacity with a well scaled fabric texture?
if your geometry has no thickness, it's better to use a diffuse with trasmittance node active and then mixed with a glossy instead of a specular material

play with falloff to: in diffuse it should be desired colour to white (to get that silky effect), in opacity/refraction You should almost see-through on 90, while opposite at lover angle.. just think about physical properties & try to replicate. Post some progress as You go & we'll try to help You with this =)

Looks to me like a dark red mesh overlay over a solid undergarment.

Anyway , I sampled the Hex code off the picture in Photoshop and pasted it into an RGB node in Octane.

Played around with it and came up with this mesh overlay material.

I've included the .OCX file for you to play around with to create the material.
