This is an animation trial for the competition, but unfortunately, due to a bug I can't render a turntable animation over 128 samples per pixel.

The character is Elisabeth Warfield, the first character of my "Flying Circus" project.
Models have to be improved and textures too. The inside of the car hasn't yet been modelled in details and so the inside of the door is flat !

awesome! I like the miniature effect, the diffused shaders enhance the effect... is this going to be a short?

Hi, Thanks for the comment !

I have the hope of making a movie one day, but it is really a huge project. The scenario is not yet fully written, only a buch of events and some characters, but if I can do it one day, it would rather be a rather long movie. So far, I manage to create mainly models that could be used for the project, and I will really need a good and fast renderer. So I put much hope in Octane, despite current animation and export bugs.

Roubal :) very very nice I like the desert, but if I can suggest something ,that maybe You will like -

the car is standing on flat surface surrounded by sand waves, maybe it can stand on one sand wave with different angle of car towwards ground.

If You are making turntable from inside octane. play with the "up" vector in the camera - try changing it for other value on "x". It will feel more dynamic with the turnaround.

I got one example if you want to see and You dont want rendering to check it.

@mlody47 : Thank you ! It is really a first trial. I will improve the scene when the current animation bugs will be solved (render at 128 spx max). I plan to add tires tracks in the sand, using one of the dynamic methods I used before in Blender (You will find the methods that I have created on my site in the Blender section : Tracks Creator and 4x4 autodrive system). An example made with Blender (All animation process, ground detection and tracks creation are automated ) :

I have one question : What software may be used to convert video in FLV format and keeping sound ? The converter I used doesn't allow videos over 720x576 and I don't achieve to export in FLV with sound with Blender using FFmpeg.

Do you mean the video player flow, or the animation itself ?

In this video example, it is jerky to show that wheels actually detect all small deformations on the ground. As wheels (espescially rear wheels) run on the tracks (deformed ground) made by the front wheels , there are vibrations transmited to the car (if you have already driven a Jeep on a bad road, you know what I mean !) This is an adjustable and realistic effect. It is possible to adjust both ground hardness, car suspension hardness and frame delay for the front wheels (affected or not by their own tracks).
