Hi all,

We're pleased to announce 2 new competitions, a still / image competition and an animation competition.
Both competitions start as of today and will last for one month.
We will be giving away one Nvidia Geforce GTX480, one Nvidia Geforce GTX470, and several other prices, including lifetime licenses.

Here's links to the relevant forum thread for both competitions:

For the animation is it possible to team up in groups of 2?
I just figure the animation entries would be better that way :)

yeah, you can, but it will be difficult, you can't cut a GTX480 in two...

It's just a shame that the export plugin for C4D is not ready.
Do you think there will be other animations contests ? :)

i think the c4d script will probably be finished halfway thru the duration of the competition,
so you can start with modeling/animation in c4d already.

What's new about turntable animation bugs ?

Because currently, for me it's not usable over 128 spx : Starting at frame 3 and rendering alternated bad and good frames.

I will try but I had made the choice of a Turntable animation to avoid the huge exporting time, and because of a selection bug in the Blender exporter...

In my opinion, an animation competition was too early because needed tools are not yet enough ironed, but I will try anyway. ;)

I don't think so...
It makes it more challenging ;)
