Is there a way to hide a portion of the imported mesh if its brought in (it has a unique material)

And can you save a camera position and setting?

Thanks

Hi,

There's no way to hide a mesh currently (you can use opacity, but it's not efficient).
Also, camera coordinates, you mean saving multiple in octane or the ones from your 3d app ?

Or even find the xyz positions of the camera so I can write it down and set it again

Not at this time, we're working on a preset system for 2.3, the next version coming.

Hi p3aoctane, you can always turn down the opacity of a material to zero, this will "hide' it, giving that the object has a unique material. It's not perfect but can work in some cases.

For the camera position, you can use the float3 'pos' and 'target' data in the thinlens node (the camera Icon). Paste it in a text editor for further reference. If you don't change the depth of field it should be ok.
