affordable network render licences
300 euros for a standalone licence to be able to network render is ridiculous. When people cannot afford to buy them they will either change software or get them from "the dark side". If the render licences where something like 100 euros or less, the total revenue from these would surely be much higher then at the current price.

We know and we're working on a solution.
Do you have an estimate on the network render licences? As nvidia told stockists to get rid of all their 760+ cards they are much cheaper now. I was wondering if it's worth to get a few more cards while still available, but only if the network licence is coming out soon.Goldorak wrote:We know and we're working on a solution.

Hi There, any news on that affordable network licence yet? Given that many other rendering software offer free or very low cost network/node licences, the current unaffordable price of the standalone licence for network rendering in octane makes it as good as if it was non existent.
We've all been supporting Octane from the beginning and it's is important that people can afford the licences so you keep getting funds to develop it. If it becomes too expensive then it will have the same destiny as many other great pieces of software, it will be cracked and available for free.
I don't know what's the complexity to code for this but can't you release a licence that works only with the daemon?
Regards
