needed cuda?

i have cuda ready cards and i down loaded cuda from nvidia,,,but during installation i got a notice that not all functions would be enabled without visual basic,,or some thing of that nature from Microsoft. DO I REALLY NEED that? i can get visual basic. Thanks poposhot

you don't need cuda drivers to use octane, just regular nvidia drivers which you download for gaming

Yes, you only need the last updated NVIDIA drivers, the same driver you are using for your system or games.
