Can i use AMD Radeon R9 290X in my system with Octane ?
No, Nvidia only (for rendering and anything octane anyway)
You may be able to use the AMD Card as the OS GPU and Nvidia cards to render from Octane. I don't know if the two different makes will conflict or not.
Its best just to stick with Nvidia all the way tbh.
