Sorry im no expert in programming and stuff, but is it possible for octane to implement this kind of technology? it seems to be a great solution for noise reduction and can probably cut down render time by a lot.

im not sure, but looking at the video it doesnt seem to alter the render in any ways, just noise reduction. it would be cool if it works just like the hot pixel removal tool where the user can choose to switch it on and off.riggles wrote:No expert either, but would this kill the "unbiased" part of Octane? Not that I care, it could use a little bias.
hi, this is looking very bad. please check details of shading. there is big loss on details like blurring. looks as gi methods of vray
