Hi there

Tonight I am getting non stop CUDA 999 errors, I updated the Video driver, reinstalled the plug in and still getting the errors. Any ideas on what causing this? I am running the latest stable build

I have 2 GPUs in my system and tried to use one then the other and still get the error after about 1-3 min of rendering

thanks

after reading some of the older posts i took out the displacement maps on the stone wall and the errors stopped.

Im using a stone wall prop from Merlin Studios I can send it to you if you like?

That was the issue

The displacement "Amount" may have been too high. If you sent the displacement amount to a tiny amount it should start rendering, then you can increase as required. This is a known Octane issue.

Ok, thanks

I think long term this may be a major time suk, I just tried the Enchanted Forest and it crashed too, the challenge with some thing like that is there are a million (exaggeration, props and to go through all of them to find disp active then set lower . well yea makes it really a drag. Is there a way to disable disp in the plug in so it ignores it until octane figures this out?

thanks

Disable "Convert Displacement Maps" in the plugin Setup.
