Hi experts,

again i got into some troubles and was hoping for help:

when I create a scene in poser, I normaly design it via the octane poser plugin, but when I'm done, I export it to ORBX format and render it in the standalone version of octane to save posers VRAM. Now I'm using hair the first time and it's working great as long as I render with the poser plugin but the hair are gone after I import it to the sandalone version. The Hair node is there in the graph editor bit it does not render at all. Not even if I just want to render the single hair node. The object where the hair is on (a simple plane) is there but no hair on it...
Same with exporting to OCS format.

Anybody having the same issue or a clue what I can do? Thank you very much for any help and
best recards!

Hi Manuel

Dynamic hair on Poser is treated as "Strands" by Octane rather than polygons - so will not save to an OBJ file. So try exporting via the Animation tab -> Export Animation (which will convert the hair to Alembic format, which Octane Standalone will read). Set the start and end frame to 1 when doing this so you just get a single frame.
