Hey Guys!

I'm trying to apply a texture (let's say a graph) on to a plane in C4d. The problem is that I would like to be able to manipulate it's
resolution for different shots. And yet I cannot do that. I was trying to change it in the EDITOR tabin material properties, but
it does not seem to work, at all. Whatever resolution I'll choose there, the result is exactly the same. If it's not for changing
the rendered resolution, then what it is for?

And yes I've ticked this channel "on".

Thanks :D

This channel 'EDITOR' is for the preview of materials in the viewport. It's not for rendering at all.
It works fine for preview, of bitmaps by sample, in the viewport (OpenGL view, not Octane Live viewer). And it works for Octane material and for C4D materials. It's a C4D function.

EDIT: For different resolutions, you could try to generate these resolutions in a bitmap editor (Photoshop or The Gimp by sample), save them with the same name and a number (xxxx_001.tif, xxxx_002.tif,...), and use them as animated bitmaps for your different shots.

Ahh Yes, so it seems that i'll need to change the resolution manually, or by some trick.

Thank You :D

Yes. But it's not specific to Octane. It would be the same with C4D render.
Maybe there is a solution driven by python or xpresso but i don't know how. ;)
