AAAAARGH! I'm working on a new character, and I've encountered a problem with alembic hair exported in .ABC from Ornatrix.
As you can see from the image, some hair are generating weird polygons at the end, and those polygons appear and disappear when I move the camera around. I never seen this problem before. :?

I've attached the ORBX file, I hope you guys can fix it soon, because I have a tight deadline on this... :|

I had this problem in LW and I solved it but don't remember how.

Now I hope this was helpful. :D

But seriously, one problem was that the hair strand polychain shouldnt close an angle less then 90 degrees between adjecent points. I am sure this introduced some artefacts which could be the artefacts you are talking about.

EDIT: take a small clump of hair and examine it, it is hard to debug with so many strands around

I understand Otoy is centered towards releases now, like the After Effects plugin.
Tutorials from advanced users are fine too, Mainly covering possible doubts on the new features.
I have issues importing Hair from 3ds Max, for an instance, that are not present at the Max plugin.
Would you please be kind enough to reply my question ? it's been a long time
since I've published it and I can't see the reason Why it's been ignored.
if you think anything is unreasonable here, let me know.

I found that my GPU's are still being used even if the render is done or the render is on pause. At least that is what the temps are suggesting. When octane is open but not rendering, my temps are around 48 degrees, when I close octane the temps drop below 30 degrees.

I guess Octane is keeping things in memory and ready for further processing.

I think so too. On my watercooled machine when rendering temps are about 40C, when paused 33C, when Octane is closed 25-28C (+2C to ambient).

I believe the "Stop Render" button was added because if that.
