Hallo.
I'm sure I'm missing some little silly thing, but I just can't get the displacement channel to work.
I can't load images (I've tried all image formats known to mankind) I can even make a simple noise shader. Nothing. It's just blank.
Oh and I just noticed that the same goes for the emission and medium channel.
I'm using 2.03 for C4D

Hi,
displacement requires to put a displacement node. Also need to activate their thick. You can only use bitmaps in displacement. Even c4d's shaders. Because they are converting to images internally.
Also, emission and medium needs their special nodes first. For emission, you can use bb/texture emission node. For medium, should puy a medium node. Emission works with diffuse material type
