Aren't you supposed to set/tag your materials in your host app?

Most of the cases I only model In rhino,I prefer to set up materials inside the renderer. I think is faster than set up materials in rhino and hope that in octane when export the obj,the 90 % of materials do not correspond with the previous set up. (resized, contrast changed, etc.) so I prefer to set up directly in octane.

I'm sure a duplicate material operation will be added sooner or later...
In your host app you set your input materials, but in Octane you can create materials from scratch and plug them into the material inputs... Let's say you have a plastic material node, but you need it in different colors, then duplicating the material would be useful. Right now you would have to copy the parameters manually.
