Hi Jim,

I'm finding that when I click and slide in the displacement slot, the value can easily jump to a very large number, which then freezes maya.

Is there a way to make this a little less sensitive?

cheers,

Steve

Some of the sliders in Octane are setup in a logarithmic scale in the standalone but I don't think maya supports this. My preference would be to have the sensitive sliders to have a default range that is much smaller than the are now, for default from 0-1 instead of 0-1000 but with the ability to extend them by typing in a higher number.

Just testing now, and if I slide the height value, I get 78295055048641139756937439080148369408.000 for example.

Agree, a slider value of 1000, or maybe even 10 as a cap, with the option to 'type' in any value.

yep, there are some other sliders i've run into that do the some thing. it's a little rough when you want to set something to 5 and you end up with a 10 figure number just because you used the slider.
