Base model is around 40k poly's.
I used 5 x 780 ti's for rendering, PT, 256 samples, used the standard daylight environment.
I did some Photoshop tweaking on the picture that's why i included a compare picture.

It's an interesting one. The displacement does a lot but I am wondering if, from a purely artistic point of view, the 'un-displaced' one is not perhaps preferable (maybe with slightly less specular). The use of colour and graphics of the grass, as well as the elephant's proportion makes for a more stylized image which, to me, your 10sec image represents more closely. I guess it's a case of 'should we just because we could...'. Just my 2 cents.
I am also curious as to what this is for since the colour scheme and proportions is 'happy' but mr. elephant is pretty angry.
Thnx for the comment. First off, I normally do more stylised low poly 3d work (http://polderanimation.com/blik.htm).
I never do sculpts, so this was just a 2 day test to learn how to sculpt, just for fun. So there wasn't a concept or idea to begin with, I just went along and make something. So I find it very funny that the first time I do a high poly sculpt the comment is, the low poly version is better =). I agree that the colours and the evilness of the elephant do not match very well.
