Hi

I wonder if there is a special reason that a lot of materials gets converted to specular when using material converter?

I often import models from Sketchup, and then use "convert materials". Afterward I often change almost all materials to diffuse, as I have understood that specular materials slows down the rendertime.

So why are materials converted to specular materials and not diffuse materials?

Not a big thing, just curious :-)

Thanks

Sure - glossy material it is, but the problem is the same I guess.
