Hi,

I have a mesh, which is a multiresolution sculpt (and is not freezed).

I've applied a texture map for bump for it.
The problem is the texture is distorted due to the displacement nature of the multi-res sculpt (see the pic on the left).

I tried to freeze my mesh in order to create a new, better UV map. The problem is the mesh after freezing the geometry is so dense that it's unworkable with anymore (it takes 15-20 sec. to do anything in modo).

Sooo in order to have a nice, even fabric bump on my object I figured I would use a modo Planar projection for it instead of a bad UVmap.

... and here' s the problem. Using a planar projection the bump looks very different from the previous tecnique (with a UV map).

I'm not sure is this an Octane or a modo problem? bug?

why are these two pictures below so diferent?
It's the same texture for the bump. The only difference is the way it is projected.

Hi

The immediate solution is to add an Octane Override and increase the bump value to compensate for what is happening.

If you want me to work out the root cause, pls sent me the .lxo for the left and right vresions of the scene, and I can take a closer look.
