I'm recently interested in this product "octane render for sketchup".

I have a few question about "settng lights" before I buy it.

When I used vray's plugin,I can use the toolbar to set spotlight, domelight, IES, light, etc.

About this product "octane render for sketchup", I have known that it can alter material to IES light or blackbody by setting the option of emission.

(but this can be a little cumbersome to set up = =)

So I want to know if it is possible to add the toolbar of lights in next version.

Thanks a lot.

Hi Cosoli,

I have a point on my roadmap telling to "figure out something with lights" :D
Octane doesn't support singular lights (spotlight, pointlights, etc) so you have to create emissive materials and apply them to geometry.
This might be a little cumbersome but most 3D-architects don't have any problems with that.

I'm not sure when I'm going to get to the point of implementing this feature as it's a low priority one.

Cheers,
Bro
