Thank you both. I ask this because I am using x2 GTX780's in an external Thunderbolt PCIe chassis, on Mountain Lion. On my setup, C4d+Octane works like a champ, and OS X sees the cards, but AE and PS do not recognise these cards for CUDA like in your screenshots. So the difference is either Mavericks, or the fact that this is running over Thunderbolt with edited kext files.
I'm not feeling brave enough to upgrade to Mavericks though…

I'm interested in your solution: at the moment I'm a iMac27 user/owner, but I need 'something' where to put my two Titan Black 6GB. So, please, could you help me? Which is the brand of PCIe chassis? And the model?
Thank you!

I got my PCIe breakout box from here:
http://www.maxexpansion.com
Mine is the 8-slot box, it should be enough slots and power for 4 Titans:
http://www.maxexpansion.com/desktop/CUB ... -enclosure
It's definitely more affordable than most of its competitors our there, but the build quality is not as solid as the ones with metal enclosures.

Does it comes with a thunderbolt port? Isn't it?mustardseedsg wrote:I got my PCIe breakout box from here:

You can choose the interface from the pulldown menu.

It comes with 2x 550W PSUs. It basically looks exactly like what you see on the website, but it's all plastic. I'll try to take some pix over the weekend. As you can see from their site, they now have a TB2 version shipping, which should increase throughput if used with a TB2 Mac. So far though, I have to say apart from the heat and noise, I love the setup!

hi mustardseedsg,
very interesting solution

could it works with Maverick?
ciao beppe
