Yes, you do. Right now there are no render-only licenses; additional full standalone licenses are required. There's 12 GPU limit as well. Obviously, not ideal. OTOY said they are working on other solutions to be released soon.

You mean a 12 gpu limit per computer license? Or a 12 gpu limit for the entire network?

per network, it means, You can have 3 PCs with 4GPUs & 3licences.. even if You have 4th licence, with let's say two more cards in other PC, You can't use them, at least for now. But OTOY said they are going to bring a solution soon after, so let's wait =)

Thanks, that's good to know. I've been with Octane since the beginning, but haven't used it in any production yet because of lack of network rendering. This might change that as long as OTOy comes out with a nice render license package for purchase. I'm not buying multiple standalone licenses.
