Hello

I am considering switching to using Cinema 4d and Octane Render for visual animations. Currently I have tried the Archicad + Octane render. I am very pleased with the output but would like to show more interesting things which archicad is very limited.

For those of you who use Cinema 4d and Octane Render, are the plug ins for cinema 4d like infinite ocean and Ozone 2014 (by E-on) rendered/compatible with in the Octane Render window?

Thanks

of course not. octane can only supports plugins which could generate some polygons outside render session. i.e., they shouldn't generate polygons on pixel sampling phase. I suppose both are doing this

I think ozone is not supported by vray too. I don't see point to use ozone since you can set your scene with hdri or daylight easily with octane

The reason I was asking about Ozone is because I tend to create sun studys with moving clouds. I want to be able to create atmosphere settings really quick. I am use to using Artlantis, and creating clouds for a sun study is really quick, the only drawback is it takes very long to render a sun study animation. Searching for alternative programs to use.

Well I found a plug-in Hot4d for moving water for cinema 4d that supposedly works with octane render. That's one down.
