I'd like to announce our new product RedSpec TGX Wet Beta.
It's essentially what you all know from our original RedSpec TGX - a highly customizable SSS skin shader - however - TGX Wet Beta will come with custom wet maps that you will be able to download with your purchase.
We changed the node structure completely in order to accommodate for the wet effect you can see attached.

It was quite a challenge to maintain our SSS and still get a wet-effect like this. Paul was a great help in this as he pointed me in the right direction. Thanks again, man I'll get you something nice for it ;)

We'll announce availability and pricing in the coming days, as we're currently finishing up the manual and imagery that comes with the product.

Looks very impressive! Is this .poe files, or are there .ocm versions for standalone etc.?

These are complete figure .poc-files for V4 and V6; we won't be including .poe-files for a number of reasons this time.
As we fundamentally had to change our shader node-structure to accomodate for the wet effect and had to create custom wet skin maps, this will be not a free update. We will have a special pricing fort returning customers however.

This stems mostly from the fact that you won't be getting the same results with RedSpec TGX Wet Beta as with TGX and vice versa.
TGX was produced to achieve maximum realism through sub surface scattering and remains our shader with the highest customization functionality to date - even after the release of TGX Wet Beta.

TGX Wet Beta was developed to look wet and although there is TGX 1.1 working underneath it, creating those beautiful SSS effects you know from TGX it is in fact a whole different ballgame.

I missed this part of your post until now. Is it specific to V4/V6 because of the custom wet maps? If so, is it safe to assume it will work with M4 if we use our own M4 wet maps?

This is a good question! I'm guessing they should, at least I hope so...

The initial release will be for V4/V6 only.
If there should be demand for it, we'll gladly add support for M4/M6.

Our sales of the last six months show virtually no demand for Genesis figures (V5/M5)
Which is why those will most likely be left out entirely this time.

Since the ladies use different texture maps as the guys the V4/V6 versions won't be compatible to M4/M6. We'll provide those as an update for existing customers however which will most likely be free of charge.

As we're not using "standard" wet maps but normal maps to achieve the wet look, wet maps you aleeady might own will not work. We had to take this approach to assure you can losd the shader over every character map, that you already own.
