I can't seem to get fur to render. Has anyone found documentation to get this feature to work? I am struggling to find anything about the new features.

Thanks!

Hair is supported.

Can you convert fur to hair?

No Maya fur is not supported, yet anyway, and there is no way in Maya to convert fur to hair. I did mention to JimStar in an earlier post that it would be great to have fur support but I know Maya fur is difficult to do much with as it is itself a plugin and not very open. There is also xGen that can do fur as well as instance population, I would like to see that implemented too and if JimStar ever got Yeti working with Octane I would buy a license in a heartbeat. But that's all a lot of work and we still need to get the full v2 feature set into Maya first (MB, Ramp texture).

I was under the impression that it would be hair and fur working with Octane. Right now hair works so I hope the fur is on it's way. I hope shave and haircut works with Octane in the future. I live in the states so Yeti is out of our reach for now. I have to make due with Shave.
