hey aoktar.
when rendering region in the 'live viewer' at an early sample count the region is noise free. yet, when rendering the whole 'live viewer' at the same sample count the picture is still heavily noisy. is it possible, that the sample count represent actual samples for the region, when using 'region render'?

no, you should do it your self. In picture viewer, i'm using some correction to estimate similar noise between regin and whole area.

im not shure how to understand... how do you estimate?
that you would be working on only that region instead of whole scene, so noise reduction should a lot faster to see the result?
so. i assume there is not acurate number for the rendered samples in the region. the sample count on the bottom of 'life viewer' can be ignored while in region-mode.. right?
still i don't get waht aoktar means by "i'm using some correction to estimate similar noise between regin and whole area.".

sorry missed reply. there is no exact formula. but division areas of whole image and region, this gives a ratio for render region. mostly seems visually ok.
